Julie Messner joins IHFC as vice president of publication sales
Replaces Carroll Springer, now retired

The IHFC announced that Julie Messner has been named vice president of publication sales. Messner comes to the IHFC with more than 10 years of home furnishings experience. Most recently, as director of leasing for Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. in High Point, she was responsible for leasing over 400,000 square feet of temporary exhibit space in the Suites at Market Square and the Plaza Suites.
Messner replaces Carroll Springer who retired after spending 29 years with the IHFC as a member of the management team.
"We are obviously very pleased to have Julie accept this key position on our team," said Tom Mitchell, IHFC president and CEO. "She will be responsible for continuing to maintain the strength of the High Point Market publications which include the Furniture, Accessory and Designer Previews, as well as the official Market Resource Guide and Pocket Guide. Julie’s accomplishments, experience and industry relationships will further strengthen the IHFC’s management team.”
Before assuming responsibility as director of leasing at MMPI, Messner was a sales associate at Rose Furniture Company. She has a B.S. in marketing and interior design from High Point University.
The IHFC opened in 1921 as the original showroom building in High Point. Today the IHFC is home to 650 home-furnishings manufacturers and covers 3.5 million square feet.
